Front cover

"I walked with slow steps from end to end in the House, and the furry train followed me like a heavy slithering snake. Wild beasts, camphor wood, burning pine and smoking bread, I filled the House with warmth and light. I was its life force, the organ pulsing in a thorax of timbers and gables."

Haunted by a golden age in her family, a woman decides to spend her entire life in the big house of her childhood, once so full of joy. But sooner or later, she must face the outside world. Before finally opting for peace and quiet, she takes us through the maze of her memory, classifying her memories by season like a watercolorist. What remains of the springs, summers, autumns and winters of a lifetime?
