Additional training
In addition to training through research, which is acquired through the practice of research within the research unit, doctoral training also includes personalized training designed to
- to strengthen the scientific culture of doctoral students ;
- to prepare for their professional integration or their career in the public and private sectors;
- to promote their international exposure.
The thesis lasts 36 months. Within each doctoral school (ED), each doctoral student follows a certain number of training courses, specific to the ED or shared by all or part of the EDs. Each university or school chooses, within the regulatory framework, its own operating mode for the proposals and monitoring of training courses.
At the University of Paris-Saclay
The University of Paris-Saclay has set up a guide specifying the different regulatory aspects and the accounting mechanism set up for the university. This method, like the other regulatory mechanisms related to the doctorate, applies to ENS Paris-Saclay doctoral students.
