New students at the École Normale: first-year students

We would like to congratulate you on your admission to ENS Paris-Saclay and welcome you to your new school.

All back-to-school events are mandatory for first-year students at ENS Paris-Saclay.

Monday, August 31, 2026: Welcome event for the families of first-year students at the École Normale

10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Parents’ Welcome Day – Emmy Noether Hall
The School is hosting a welcome event for the families of first-year and second-year students: Be sure to register for the orientation day (registration is required).

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: three tour time slots for the ENS Paris-Saclay building (10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m.)

Tuesday, September 1, 2026

  • 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Orientation lecture for first-year students – Alain Aspect Lecture Hall
  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Community Organizations Fair + Partners' Booth (banks, mutual insurance companies) - Atrium
  • 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Sports presentation – Alain Aspect Auditorium

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. (required for 1A and 2A students): Awareness of scientific ethics and integrity, plagiarism – Alain Aspect Lecture Hall
  • 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: 180-second lab presentations – Alain Aspect Auditorium
  • 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Laboratory Forum - Hall Emmy Noether
