Normaliens students
Candidates admitted through the ENS Paris-Saclay entrance exam are considered normalienne and normalien student civil servants.
After the exam, admitted normaliennes and normaliens students join a teaching and research department based on their field of study.

You can enter the first year through the “Competitive Examination” route.
REMINDER
The entrance exam for second-year admission was abolished on September 1, 2025, in accordance with official bulletin no. 32 of August 28, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MESR). Admission is now only possible through the student pathway (based on application).
