At the Lumen, the Design Spot offers you a material library made up of several hundred innovative materials (2nd level).

Every Wednesday afternoon throughout the academic year, you can join a designer on a tour of the Plateau de Saclay's first material library.

Advances in science are leading to the creation of new, more efficient and more durable materials that are challenging our imagination and our way of designing.

As a tool for research, inspiration, experimentation and documentation, the matériauthèque is aimed at teachers, researchers and students, as well as project leaders working on materials-related issues and, more generally, anyone interested in discovering the latest trends in design and manufacturing.

To help you understand how this new facility works and to answer any questions you may have, the Design Spot organises drop-in sessions every Wednesday afternoon during the academic year.

At these drop-in sessions, the team will be on hand to :

Introduce you to the materials library's various services
Explain how to use the resources
Show you around the library and help you discover the materials
Answer any questions you may have about this new tool at your disposal.

Whether you're a professional, a student or just curious, these drop-in sessions are an opportunity to discover this space dedicated to innovative materials.
