Abstract

For this creation, Angelin Preljocaj once again demonstrates his attraction to philosophy. Haunted by themes linked to the transcendence of the body, this time he takes as his pretext the audio recordings of the lectures given by Gilles Deleuze at the University of Paris VIII in Vincennes in the 1980s. In these audio archives, Deleuze addresses with humour and relevance the reflections of Spinoza in his emblematic work: Ethics. In this project, the recorded voice of Gilles Deleuze and his substantial words will be interwoven with the powerful, sensual and revolutionary music of Jimi Hendrix in order to resonate with Spinoza's scolies.
