Diploma Conferences

2022/2023

Each year, conferences are offered to the students of the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay in the large amphitheatre.
They offer an opening to societal, teaching and research issues.
They are part of the common base of scientific knowledge and can be validated as an activity for the ENS Paris-Saclay diploma.


The conferences of the 2022/2023 cycle are organized around 3 themes

Practical information

Find our answers to the main questions concerning the course, registration, hybrid mode, validation for the diploma...

The lectures are scheduled from September to April. They take place, preferably, on Tuesday or Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and will be, except in exceptional cases, in person, in the main auditorium of the School.
All the conferences are detailed in the agenda of the website. You will also receive a reminder email for registration 2 weeks before the date.

 

The conference lasts 1h30 and is divided into a presentation time (from 45 minutes to 1h) and an exchange time during which you can ask questions on the day of the conferences.

The registration is mandatory with your email address "@ens-paris-saclay.fr".
If you use another email, you will not be able to validate the conference for your diploma.

Duration of the conferences: 45 minutes of conference + 45 minutes of exchanges is 1h30.

Unless otherwise stated, all 2022/2023 conferences are scheduled in person, in the large amphitheater of the School.

Registration is mandatory with your email address "@ens-paris-saclay.fr".
If you use another email, you will not be able to validate the conference for your diploma.

The Management validates your presence and your conference on the ADN application.

The assessment is done every year: you can consult your activities of the ENS Paris-Saclay diploma on the ADN application..

The number of conferences varies according to the number of years spent at ENS Paris-Saclay.

  • FOR THE NORMALIENS ENTERING IN THE 1st YEAR: 8 conferences during your 4 years of enrollment in the diploma
    We strongly advise you to attend at least 4 conferences from your 1st year
     
  • FOR THE NORMALIENS ENTERING IN THE 2nd YEAR: 4 conferences
     
  • FOR THE NORMALIENS ENTERING IN THE 3rd YEAR: 2 conferences

The assessment is done at the end of the year: you can consult your ENS Paris-Saclay degree activities on the ADN application.
