Programm

Modules, teachers, and duration

This high-level program offers theoretical and practical instruction in the form of classes and workshops (392 hours), which may be supplemented by internships. The program runs over two semesters.

The theoretical instruction includes several modules: history and aesthetics of the genre, audiovisual law, knowledge of archives and document research, audiovisual production and documentary markets, and documentary interview methodology. ..

Practical classes and workshops (image and sound capture and editing, design and production of documentaries for the digital environment) enable students to produce linear or interactive documentaries.

The courses are supplemented by master classes at SCAM (documentary screenings followed by meetings with their authors) and professional meetings (documentary festivals such as FIPADOC, Cinéma du réel, and Ecrans documentaires).

Classes and workshops take place from October to June. They are held at the INA in Bry-sur-Marne, which allows students to work with professional equipment and benefit from synergies with students from other courses offered by INA campus (editing, production, etc.).

The program is incompatible with other commitments. Students are therefore expected to attend the program full-time.

Tuition fees

  • €3,500 for initial training (must be aged 27 or under in the year of enrollment);
  • €7,500 for vocational training.
