The birds of Charles de Meaux
Creation of the work as part of the 1% artistic commission
Immersive sound and visual installation
Open to the public before and after the performances and during the European Heritage Days on Saturday, September 17 (reservation through the Gif-sur-Yvette town hall).
Inspired by the composer Olivier Messiaen, the artist Charles de Meaux proposes an immersive sound and visual sculpture that functions as a pre-generic to the opening of the shows.

CentraleSupelec's Cafés Frappés are citizen information meetings on the impacts of our consumption and production methods. The next edition will take place at the Scène de recherche, around the show Effondré.e.s. The performance will be followed by a time of exchange and debate on the issue of collapse and a convivial time of eating.

The discoveries
Les Découvertes* are a recurring event, an invitation to discover the work of the artists and researchers involved in the residencies and research and creation workshops. Twenty minutes followed by a time of discussion to live at the rhythm of experimentation.
* Discovery (in theater and cinema): space between two elements of a set that allows a glimpse of the backstage, perspective opened in a set by a door, a bay, a window.

Every year, the S[ENS] de l'Art festival offers various artistic and cultural events over a period of less than a week. Amateur and professional artists perform in a variety of shows: short film screenings, dance or theater shows, concerts, exhibitions, circus arts... The event has the vocation of cultural discovery thanks to a quality, rich and varied program. It also serves as a springboard for local artistic creations or amateur artists.
Jazz battle

The Jazz Battle at Paris-Saclay proposes each winter a competition between groups of student jazz musicians from different institutions. It was initiated in 2017 by the president of the Versailles Jazz Festival, a teacher at the Ecole Polytechnique, and a few officials from the major schools and universities of the Plateau de Saclay. The first one took place on February 15, 2018 at the Université Paris-Sud. The second at Ecole Polytechnique on February 21, 2019, and the third at CentraleSupelec on February 25, 2020. The 2021 and 2022 editions were cancelled due to the pandemic.
