Admission by application
The CPGE competitive entrance examination is ENS Paris-Saclay's traditional admission route. ENS Paris-Saclay also offers high-caliber students motivated by research, higher education or careers in the civil service the opportunity to enter the school and prepare for the Normalien diploma. Students can apply for the 1st year (Bac+2) or the 2nd year of the diploma (Bac+3).
The ENS also has several scholarship schemes for these students (PhD track, Femmes & sciences). Students are recruited on the basis of their academic record, supplemented where necessary by an oral admission test. The academic level and motivation of applicants will be assessed by a competent committee in accordance with the criteria of each teaching and research department.
As part of its policy of promoting diversity, particular attention will be paid to gender and social, academic and geographical diversity.
