Pirat[ENS] wins the Student Sailing Trophy 2022

An inter-student competition
The Voiles étudiantes du Havre took place on 26 and 27 March 2022 in the Bay of Le Havre in exceptional sailing conditions.
This inter-school competition pitted some twenty French schools, each represented by two crews, against each other in two parallel races, in 7.50s and J80s, with the average of the two races counting towards the final ranking.
Rankings
By winning the race in the First Class 7.5 category and coming 4th in the J/80 category, ENS Paris-Saclay won the 2022 trophy ahead of ECAM Rennes and ENSTA Paris Tech.
Race organiser: EM Normandie, supported by the Normandy Sailing League.
The Pirat[ENS] sailing association
Its objective is to democratise the practice of sailing within the school.
This year it has already organised light sailing trips to the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines base, a weekend cruise in the Bay of Saint-Malo and a weekend with crews from other ENSs (Ulm and Lyon) in the Bay of Marseille.
The association has also undertaken a regatta programme by participating in the training sessions of the Société des Régates du Havre and by winning this first inter-student competition of the 2022 season.
