Missions  

The missions of this service are to:

  • develop and coordinate ENS Paris-Saclay's library policies; 
  • facilitate use of the library by students, academic staff, technical and administrative staff and all other authorized persons; organize individual and group workspaces;
  • acquire, catalogue, manage and deliver documents and information resources in all appropriate formats;
  • provide skills training in using and exploiting academic information sources;
  • participate in the development of scientific information and academic resources, in particular by helping to disseminate the scientific publications and resources produced within the institution;
  • contribute to the School's cultural activities;
  • cooperate with libraries that pursue the same objectives, in particular through participation in collective catalogues.

Organization 

The ENS Paris-Saclay library operates under the authority of the Office of the President and is part of the Professional Services Division.  

It is made up of two "integrated" libraries:

  • The central library: intended to serve the needs of all students and academic staff at ENS Paris-Saclay. 
  • The Durkheim library: open to all, serves first and foremost the needs of doctoral students and academic staff in the humanities and social sciences.
